Step by Step Guide to Searching

Method 1
Thailand is divided into 76 provinces each of which is named after the principal city in that area. The provinces are grouped into four regions: North, Northeast, Central and South.

STEP 1 - To begin your search you should use the Location drop down box to select either a provincial city or one of the four regions. Selecting one of the regions will include results from all the provinces which make up the region. Note that although Bangkok is in the Central region, selecting Central Thailand will not produce results for businesses in Bangkok simply because there are so many. Click here for maps and a list of provinces

STEP 2 - Choose which major Category you want to look for from the second drop down box.

STEP 3 (Optional - If you prefer, you may skip to Step 4 and press the Search Results button.) By selecting a subcategory from the third box you can restrict your search and produce shorter, more meaningful search results. (A word of caution here; selecting ‘All’ may produce a very long listing which may take several minutes to display!)
You may be presented with a subcategory which says, for example, 'Restaurants - All'. Underneath you may note that restaurants are split across other subcategories, in this case: 'Restaurants - Asian', 'Restaurants - Thai', etc. Selecting 'Restaurants - All' simply combines all matches with restaurants, irrespective of whether they serve Asian food, Thai food or otherwise.
You may find it helpful to refer to this list of categories.

STEP 4 - Press the Search Results button.

Method 2
If you're trying to find one business in particular and you already know the name you want to look for, you don’t need to use the Location or Category boxes (make sure they both say ‘All’). Simply type the name you want to look for directly in the Name box then click on Search Results. The search engine will go through the entire database and look for matches. You must type in at least three letters and/or numbers, and case will be ignored, i.e. typing ‘tig’, ‘TIG’ or even ‘tiG’ will all produce the same results which will include, for example, the entry for ‘Track of the Tiger Tours’.

Method 3
You can use a combination of the above methods to pinpoint your search. For example, you can choose 'Northern Thailand' and type in the name 'Thai Farmer' to find all the Thai Farmers Banks in Northern Thailand.
