In Thailand, clicking «like» in Facebook can turn into a criminal case

Bangkok, November 26. Facebook users in Thailand should be more careful now when using the button “like”.

The Government warned: for approval of articles with the criticism of the monarchy you can go to jail, reports “NTV”.

The monarchy in Thailand is absolute value, and the punishment for its insult in this country is the most severe in the world.

However, the distance between clicking in the browser and the prison has never been so close.

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology of Thailand Anudith Nakornthap advises everyone who has clicked “like” under the Articles relating to majesty to remove it immediately.

Otherwise it may result in accusations of “indirect” distribution of illegal content.

The warning came two days after the man who had sent a message with the insult of the Queen, was sentenced to twenty years’ imprisonment.
